The University of Utah congratulates 8,465 students who recieved their academic degrees on May 2, 2019.

Samford University recognizes 1,519 students named to the 2019 spring semester Dean's List. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Oglethorpe University congratulates the 365 students named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List, honoring those who achieved at least a 3.50 term grade-point average while earning 12 or more semester hours.

Kennesaw State University congratulates the more than 5,000 students named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List. Students enrolled at least 9 credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 were named to the list.

Kennesaw State University recently named students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence for the Spring 2019 semester. To achieve this honor, each student must have completed at least 9 semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.

More than 150 students from the Georgia State University College of Law earned law (Juris Doctor) degrees during the spring 2019 semester. The university honored students for their achievements this past May, and officially conferred law degrees in late June 2019.

Kennesaw State University recently welcomed its newest class of graduates. Over 3,000 students earned bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees during the Spring 2019 commencement ceremonies in May.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Students have been named to the dean's list at James Madison University for the spring 2019 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to BW Provost Stephen D. Stahl. Any full-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the Dean's List.

A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The University of Alabama awarded some 5,716 degrees during its spring commencement May 3-5. Georgia State University conferred Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees during ceremonies held this spring at the Rialto Center for the Arts.

More than 2,000 students earned bachelor's degrees from Georgia State University during the Spring 2019 semester.

More than 800 students earned associate's degrees from Georgia State University's Perimeter College during the Spring 2019 semester.

The University of North Georgia (UNG) had a record 65 current and former students attend the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) from April 11-13 at Kennesaw State University. UNG sent 77 people to NCUR, which ranked UNG as the No. 7 school for participants at the conference. Participants included students and faculty in anthropology and archaeology, biology, chemistry, computer science, education, history, music, physics, and psychology.

University of North Georgia (UNG) President Bonita C. Jacobs recognized students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2019 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for spring 2019. Dean's List recognition is achieved by having at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

Almost 1,300 newly minted University of North Georgia (UNG) graduates walked in spring commencement ceremonies held May 3-4 at the Convocation Center on UNG's Dahlonega Campus

The Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) at Georgia Southern University recently presented its annual undergraduate juried exhibition from April 5 to 12 at the Center for Art & Theatre on the Statesboro Campus. Juried 2019 featured the variety of media taught within the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art, which includes drawing, painting, jewelry, multimedia, mixed media, photography, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. The exhibition was juried by Susan Laney, is the owner and director of the Laney Contemporary Gallery in Savannah, Georgia. Laney has been active in the art scene for well over a decade and has worked with some of the region's most important contemporary artists, as well as with galleries and artists nationwide. In addition to her gallery, she frequently curates exhibitions for a number of museums and art fairs. Winners were announced at the closing reception on April 5. Nina Samuels was awarded Best in Show. Taylor Goody was awarded Juror's Choice. Aminatta Mbow was awarded Exceptional 2D, and Andrew Shirah was awarded Exceptional 3D. Other students with work accepted into the Juried 2019 exhibition were Marjorie Adams Alise, AJ Aremu, Meridith Bearden Lauren, Ashton Beeghley, Peyton Butts, Emily Coats, Andrew Cobb, Sierra Cornell, Jasmine Davis, Hannah Eldridge, Allison Exley, Nicholas Farmer, Rachel Forehand, AnnaBrooke H.
