BW students spend spring break volunteering in Memphis, Tennessee
Forty-four Baldwin Wallace University students made a difference by volunteering at diverse destinations during the 2019 spring break. The BW Alternative Break service program gives students the opportunity to spend their breaks helping others. Each experience is led by a BW student with support from a university faculty or staff adviser. Student volunteers traveled to Chicago; Houston; Memphis, Tennessee; Waco, Texas; and Montgomery, Alabama.

Students show off research projects at Annual Research Conference
Nearly 130 University of North Georgia (UNG) students performed research-based projects and presented their results during the poster sessions March 22 at the 24th Annual Research Conference (ARC) in the Convocation Center on UNG's Dahlonega Campus. Other students participated in panel discussions on topics such as educational experiences and musical research.

UA Students Participate in Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Conference
Nearly 500 students at The University of Alabama highlighted their research and creative projects during the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Conference on March 27. The 12th annual conference is hosted by UA's Office for Undergraduate Research and the Office for Research and Economic Development. Poster presentations are grouped by research areas -- instead of by academic colleges or departments -- to align with national trends of using interdisciplinary approaches to problem-solving. The conference spurs interest in research among undergraduate students and helps students polish their communication skills, said Dr. Kim Bissell, director of the Office for Undergraduate Research. "We have got some pretty phenomenal students who are truly doing great things," she said.
